  • Bipolar, BiCMOS and HVMOS process technologies for analog semiconductors

CLIENT is headquartered in Shanghai, PR China, and operates two wafer fabrication facilities in the city, manufacturing 5-inch, 6-inch wafers and 8-inch wafers. The company is publicly traded on the Hong Kong Exchange.

POSITION:  TD (Technology Development)Director 

LOCATION:  Shanghai, PR China

Overview:  Lead, organize and coordinate the Technology Development Department to fulfill its function and responsibilities. Give technical instructions to TD managers and engineers. Responsible for technical checking of the DRM’s and process flows of all projects. Monitoring progress of each project. Knowledge update for engineers to match international level and trends.

SPECIFIC RESPONSIBILITIES

  1. Work with sales and marketing to develop all new projects and in charge of feasibility study of the new projects.
  2. Organize/coordinate new process development, qualification and hand-over to respective fabs.
  3. Technical monitoring of Design Rule Manual and process flow. Supervise progress of each project.
  4. Work to improve process quality and product yield, increase equipment capacity and reduce production cost
  5. Lead TD managers and engineers.   Train new engineers.
  6. In special cases, the TD director may lead a project team.
  7. Maintain close cooperation with production lines.
  8. Maintain good communication channels with customers.

DECISION MAKING AUTHORITY

  1. Will approve process change proposals.
  2. Will allocate TD resources and assign work
  3. Job appraisals and promotion proposals for engineers

EDUCATION AND JOB QUALIFICATIONS

  1. BS or above in EE, semiconductor physics, microelectronics etc.
  2. Profound know-how in semiconductor integrated circuit research and development, including basic knowledge of semiconductor materials, solid background in semiconductor physics, device physics and CMOS processes, familiar with electrical characterization & analysis, with global expertise in I.C. design & analysis.
  3. More than 10 years work experience in semiconductor CMOS technology.  More than 7 years of technology development.  More than 5 years technical management experience desirable.
  4. Familiar with quality control and management, including techniques such as SPC, FMEA, etc.
  5. Familiar with software and computer operation systems commonly used in semiconductor technical development, aware of the basis of major TCAD such as SPICE, SUPREM etc.
  6. Contemporary semiconductor development and production is a global business.  The TD director must have proficient English reading, writing, listening and speaking, so as to ensure good communication.

LANGUAGE SKILLS

Fluency in written and spoken Mandarin and English.
