# 916 Technologist
Client company was established by seven US executives, technologists and engineers. The company business is the development of core silicon thin film PECVD equipment and a secondary goal of developing silicon thin film modules. The company is venture-funded by several Shanghai venture firms. The firm’s headquarters are in Shanghai.
Position: Technologist, Amorphous (a-Si) or crystalline (uc-Si) Focus
Qualifications:
- An advanced degree (MS or PhD) in Chemical Engineering, Material Science, Physics or similar technical discipline is required
- Minimum 5-10 years experience in thin film or crystalline PV or closely related industry working as a development engineer or scientist.
- Engineering experience in thin film PECVD for solar.
- Broad experience is required with specific knowledge in one or more of the following areas: crystal growth, wafering, solar cell (i.e., diffusion, printing) and solar pv moduling.
- Good English reading skill is required.
- Japanese speaker preferred
Responsibilities:
Lead the process development team to:
- Actively work with Beta site customers and drive for production qualification and penetration
- Develop new solar TF processes on PECVD hardware and release new products or applications to meet market requirements.
- Use designed experiments and advanced data analysis techniques to demonstrate process feasibility and system productivity
- Generate internal documentation for products, presentations and technical reports
- Resolve process engineering issues
- Work with the engineering team and provide detailed feedback on the process results to guide their development efforts.
Source: Client will relocate selected candidate from US, Japan, EU or Korea.
Compensation:
Excellent salary, consisting of base and start-up company stock.
Ideal candidates come from North America, Japan, EU or Korea. Will pay
- Total Compensation equal or exceeding present compensation:
- Base -- Will structure salary payment in China in such a way that net take-home pay should be the same as candidate is presently receiving in base in their current location
- Stock options. The real attraction is a sizeable offer of stock options to the right candidate.
