Ken's launch of TKO Phoenix in 2003 caps an extraordinary twenty years in Asia/Pacific recruiting and search under the TKO flag.
In 1983, Asia/Pacific was barely visible on the recruiting screen but a significant Japanese high-tech presence in Sillicon Valley encouraged Ken to focus on this market with his start-up firm, TKO Personnel. Over the years, TKO broadened to include searches in Korea, Singapore, Taiwan, and from '96 onward, the PRC. In '98 he sold the firm to Hall Kinion, a publicly traded recruiting firm and continued to manage the wholly owned subsidiary, TKO Personnel, first as Managing Director, later as VP Business Development, Asia/Pacific. In 2003 he started the new start-up, TKO Phoenix. Prior to his experience at TKO, Ken graduated from Eastern Mennonite College (Harrisonburg, VA) with a BA English Literature and worked as a journalist for several years.
After hours, he enjoys swimming, working on Mandarin conversation, public speaking at international forums, newsletter editing for his church and enjoying life with Patricia and his children. Ken lives in San Jose, CA. Contact Ken at kreed@tkophoenix.com
